1988 Jeep Cherokee

Great opportunity for Jeep enthusiast or someone looking for a easy and satisfying project car.1988 Jeep Cherokee Laredo2.8L 6 Cylinder2 Wheel Drive....NOT 4x4120000 ORIGINAL MILESHere's the story when I moved to FL from NYC 3 years ago I didn't have a car. My 93yo grandmother offered me her car that had been parked in her garage for 20 some years.Cosmetically the car is in great shape the interior isn't ripped or cracked. The dash is in perfect shape as is the upholstery. The AC Compressor does come on when engaged but I haven't had the system converted to current AC freon standards.Mechanically there are more than a few issues but it is road worthy and in working order...I've been using it as my daily vehicle exclusively for over 3 years. Here's what I know is wrong:- Water Pump. I literally put water in it before I go anywhere and as soon as I put water in it starts to drip out from around the water pump.- Power Steering Pump. This is apparently a two part job when completely replacing the powering system as was required. I did the easiest cheapest fix I think the pump is what's left.- Lower Oil Gasket. This is the big money one the totaler. I'm not a mechanic and can't remember which oil gasket this is...there's a top one a cheap fix and a lower one that's expensive for labor etc...it's not the cheap top gasket.- Carburetor. It runs but needs some adjustment. This is an easy car to work on. The engine box is spacious and parts are pretty accessible. I've had a shade-tree mechanic friend working on it doing the oil changes and minor repairs (new alternator last fall) and he always makes comments about how easy it is to work on.A Jeep enthusiast would be very proud to have this classic shape. It's parked and ready for immediate sale. Clean title in my possession.
