1985 Jaguar XJS V12

European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this incredibly well preserved and highly original 1985 Jaguar XJS H.E V12 Coupe finished in Sebring Red over Biscuit Connolly leather. After leaving the Browns Lane Coventry factory in March of 1985, this XJS was imported into the US through Jaguar North America where it was invoiced into Ladd Motors, INC. of Lebanon PA. The selling dealer sold the car to its first owner on May 24, 1985 to a local resident... of PA. The car was then traded back into LADD Motors and sold to its second and final owner on February 20, 1988 with only 1,412 miles covered at that time. The car has lived in Philadelphia under the same ownership ever since covering a mere 18,790 miles with a comprehensive service file dating back to brand new with LADD Motors, INC and Cherry Hill Classic Cars Jaguar paperwork and service history present along with early dealer selling signatures and service stampings to document the cars mileage. This unbelievably well kept Jaguar XJS is draped in its original Sebring Red paint top to bottom showing a remarkable finish with just a few minor stone chips in the front nose around the cat emblem and a couple small chips just above the headlights on the hood and one chip (pictured) just in front of the driver rear wheel in the lower fender. No rust anywhere on the car with a clean original undercarriage. All of the original bumpers, chrome, trim and glass is in excellent unmarked condition. The original Biscuit Connolly leather feels and looks practically new. No visible cracks, crease marks or scuffing is evident in any of the four seats and the leather has an incredibly soft feel. The wood is unmarked and free from any cracking, delamination or fade. The headliner is all original and completely unmarked and free from any sagging. Jaguar's iconic 5.3 liter V12 engine is silky smooth on start up and acceleration and pulls smoothly through all of the gears. Zinc plating on many of the engine components is still visible which is very rare to see. The front brake pads and rotors have just been replaced and new tires put on the car in early 2018. The car rides very smooth and quiet just like these Grand Touring Jaguar's were built to do. 80mph is effortless and quiet with a supple refined ride. All of the electrical components are operating as designed including the AC which is ice cold, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, original Jaguar factory radio with power antenna, all of the exterior and interior lights and all of the gauges are operating as designed. The onboard computer is functioning as well. A clean and clear Carfax and title is present with the sale of this XJS along with the original owners handbooks, service books and the factory original brochure. All of the original factory Waso and British Leyland keys are present with the original factory cassette tape, matching spare wheel, toll roll and jack. Service receipts dating back to brand new are present and also original dealer service stampings in the service booklet. This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire an XJS HE V12 in untouched original condition with such great history and documentation. These are getting increasingly hard to find in this kind of condition.
