1987 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign

Make sure to check out the 3 videos posted below!

Selling my 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign. It was a one owner car for 30 years. Original owner is my neighbour. Still have original bill of sale ($52 000 in 1987!) Never winter driven. Never driven in rain unless it was unexpected (Car was never a daily driver). Always in garage. No accidents. Clean title. Original perfect shiny paint. No rust. Exceptionnal condition. 76 300 kms, which is 47 200 miles.

Black on black. Refinished kent wheels. It has the original larger outer headlights. Passed the NB safety inspection in May 2018. Works perfect. All headlights, turn signals, tail lights, horn, wipers work as intended. Glass is perfect, all windows go up and down. Power sunroof works, power door locks work, so does power antenna (although it does not fully extend). All gauges work (expect fuel gauge for passenger side tank). Radio works. AC is ice cold. Tires, suspension, brakes, exhaust, engine and transmission are fine.

New front ball joints. All maintenance is up to date including transmission oil and filter, differential oil change, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, fuel and air filter replaced. Oil and filter change done in May 2018 along with safety inspection. Brakes (rotors), exhaust, water pump, transmission mounts, belts, AC, all lower and upper ball joints, bearings, battery and more were replaced or seviced in recent years.

Comes with high quality car cover. Car is 100% original. I have a lot of service records (but not all).

Cons:

-Gas gauge does not work when the passenger side tank is in use, but works with the driver's side tank. The switch between both tanks works perfectly.

-Headliner was repaired but not perfect (It used to sag, it was pulled and reattached). No stains or holes and does not sag. Ideally it would need to be replaced with a new board and material).

-Tiny (1/4 inch) crack in the plastic surrounding the gear selector.

-Small engine oil leak (not enough to add oil between oil changes, but always a quarter size oil spot on garage floor).

-Had a small transmission oil leak when I took car out of storage this spring but it has stopped.

Car is located in Bathurst, NB, Canada (airport code ZBF). The closest US town is Van Buren, ME, which is exactly 125 miles away. Although it is 31 years old, I would not hesitate to take it for a long trip if you decide to fly to ZBF and drive away. I can of course assit with shipping if needed.
