Jaguar XJ12L Rare, rust-free collectible
1974 Jaguar XJ12
Very rare non-fuel-injected XJ12L.The early 1974 series 2, XJ12's had the same 4 - zenith carburetor setup as the Series 1 cars. Engine and train is mechanically sound, brakes are good; however, the power steering pump does leak. Car has pin-hole leaks in exhaust and needs to be tuned-up.
Body is rust-free with good chrome. There is a small dent under the left front bumper (see Photo) and the chrome around the rear window is not installed (will be supplied with car).The plastic growler insert on the hood is broken (replacement will be furnished with the car).The paint looks good in the photos. But up close you can see hairline cracks in the clear coat.
All glass is good and power windows and door locks work fine.Interior is in fair shape with exception of the right side of the rear seat cushion (see photo), a crack in the dashboard pad, and the usually saggy front seat headrests.
The car comes with near new tires and is complete with a full size spare tire on a chrome wheel, and the original jack. Car does need a trunk carpet.
