Description:

1969 Jaguar E-Type

Up for auction is a 1969 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe. The car is straight, does not show any signs of previous accidents and wears the very conservative paint color "Sable" which was repainted in the past with the same original color and in excellent condition. All the body panel gaps are perfect and the bonnet, doors and rear boot hatch close easily. The car is for the most part very original right down to the Cheney clamps and red emissions stickers on the carburetors, spark plug wire caps, and all emissions equipment. The matching number engine starts easily and runs well and is coupled to a 4 speed transmission that shifts well without any gear noise and also has power steering and A/C. The biscuit colored leather seats, sills, door panels and console covers were purchased some 10 years ago from a well respected interior trim shop G.W.Bartlett which the reupholstered seats have hardly been sat in and without any flaws with the balance being original along with the original Wilton wool carpets which are presentable. The wire wheels and tires are also original and in fair condition. The exhaust system appears to have been replaced. This is a very presentable driver needing some small work for the new owner as any car of this vintage most certainly would. You are welcome and encouraged to view the car in person at any time Monday through Saturday 8 AM to 6 PM. No warranty is offered and all sales are final and non-refundable. We can assist our overseas friends with any sort of transportation and have shipped cars all over the world. We have this car advertised in other publications and reserve the right to end the auction early. Happy bidding on this wonderful, quickly appreciating British super car! Cheers Tom Z.
