Description:

1970 Jaguar E-Type Leather

1970JaguarXKESeries2Coupe

It is hard to describe any XKE without mentioning the accolades that were given to the design by Ferrari when he saw the first XKE in 1961 and said it was the beautiful car that was ever designed.Coming from Mr. Ferrari that is the highest of all compliments. The XKE here in this eBay ad is in gorgeous cosmetic restored condition. The restoration was done about 1,000 miles ago.The black paint is complimented by the red leather interior. The car has the original 4.2 engine and original transmission. The rear end has been upgraded with the higher ratio for performance (the original rear end is available to the winning bidder). The air conditioning is an aftermarket unit. The car has been in the family for 25 years. The car since restoration has always been stored inside and has only seen rain twice.

Keep in mind that this is a COUPE not a 2+2.

841 miles on odometer, since restoration

We are sure that you will agree that this XKE in Black with Red interior is one of the most striking color combinations that you can find for an XKE coupe.

The Series II XKE with the 4.2 engine and all the factory upgrades that were improved over the nine years of the XKE’s original introduction in 1961 make it a fantastic car and is very docile to drive in the city and very gratifying to have on the open roads.

When the restoration was done within the past 15 years, it was a very meticulous restoration with everything taken off and polished and fixed.

The mileage at the time of restoration is not known exactly so we cannot post.At the time of restoration, the engine was rebuilt.

The car has no rust.

We are highly motivated to see this car go to somebody who will care for it the way it has been cared for all its life.

The reserve is set at a reasonable level (please serious inquiries only).Yes the interior is real leather and not Naughehyde and really great Series II XKEs are getting harder and harder to find especially in the number one color scheme. This is truly a no story, no apology car!
