The car’s service booklet was faithfully filled in every single year by Butts Buick, back in the day the most prestigious foreign-car dealership in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. When Dr. Elings drove the car another 18k miles during his tenture, bringing the actual mileage up to 58,755.
