1973 Jaguar XJ12 Series I

I am the third owner of this great car, I owned it since 1987. I drive the car regularly; it is in perfect mechanical condition and a great joy to drive. It runs great and everything, including the AC, works as it should. All mechanical parts, including the engine and transmission, from the front bumper to the back had been rebuilt with new OEM parts during the last few years. I tried to keep it as original as possible but the ignition has been upgraded to a Crane Fireball opto-electrical system and the fuel pumps are modern electronic units.

The official records are somewhat vague but by most accounts only 1,500 of these cars were built including all left and right hand drive versions. Very few are left in running condition and many of those have been converted using Chevy V-8 engines.

The car has been stripped to bare metal and re-painted with lacquer in the mid-1990s and kept in a garage all the time. It is completely rust free. The paint shows its age but serviceable.

The interior is partially re-built. The front seats have new foam inserts but the leather/vinyl seat coverings are original and eventually need to be replaced.

Since I drive the car regularly in the Southwest with rocks everywhere, I just got a small crack in the windshield on the passenger side.

The car comes with the original window sticker, bill of sale and maintenance records.

I also have a large collection of spare parts, including a set of cylinder heads, camshafts, torque converter, transmission and many small parts.
