* OVER $45000 SPENT IN RESTORING * RIGHT-HAND DRIVE & OVERDRIVE * ONLY 40000 MILES * CHROME WIRE WHEELS * CUSTOM POWER SUNROOF * PRICED TO SELL! *

This auction is for a 1966 Jaguar 3.4 S-Type a true classic that has been completely restored to its glory days. With well over a $45000 in restoration expenses the Jag is in great condition inside outside and mechanically. Only 10000 of these 3.4S Jags were made from 1963 – 1968 so this is a rare car indeed and way more rare than the similar 3.8S. This was originally a Texas car. The 3.4 S-Type has been described as a MK II with a MK X rear. More “executive” than the MK II the 3.4S features greater seating room and headroom.

This 1966 Jag has been owned by a non-smoker and powered by the 3.4L engine (3442cc 6 cylinder twin overhead camshaft) and 5-speed manual transmission (5th speed is overdrive). The engine is believed to be numbers matching. The engine and transmission were professionally rebuilt around the 23000 mile mark the carb was rebuilt in 2007. Another great feature of the 3.4S is the independent rear suspension providing a smoother ride than other classic Jags. The car runs on regular unleaded fuel and also features Dual Exhaust System Power Steering and 4 Wheel Disc Brakes. The data plate on the car reads as follows:Car No. ~ P1B6864DN Engine No. ~ 7B7801-8 Body No. ~ 487791 Gear Box No. ~ J3N8322. The P prefix on the car number indicates the car has power steering and the DN suffix on the car number indicates the car has overdrive. The mileage on the odometer shows 40*** and is believed to be original based upon the paperwork and maintenance history available with the car.

EXTERIOR/INTERIOR

The car was repainted during the USA restoration to Jaguar Carmen Red. Prior to the paint job the car was fully stripped and sand blasted clean. The car was stripped partially resanded and welded then repainted in the Czech republic. The Vredestein Sprint ST steel belted radial tires have 5000 miles on them and plenty of tread left. The tires sport Chrome Jaguar Wire Wheels. The trunk is lined carpeted clean and holds a spare tire with red wire wheel and tyre tool. Inside you'll find this classic is clean and comfortable. The red carpet and Carmen red leather upholstery are the perfect compliment to the paint. There are also custom Jaguar 3.4S floor mats that help finish the look. The Jag has heat rear defogger and fan. The walnut dash looks sharp with no cracks or fading and there is an aftermarket JVC AM/FM Stereo with cassette deck installed where the original radio was without any cutting involved. New Alpine speakers were also installed behind the rear seats and the Power Antenna also works. Another great upgrade the original owner had done was taking the existing manual sunroof and converting it to a custom made Power Sunroof. What better way to enjoy a nice driving day and some fresh air?

VEHICLE CONDITION

This classic is in great condition and will be sure to turn heads wherever you go. Please keep in mind you are seeing reflections and glare on the car. This restoration was done right and spared no expense...there has been easily $45000 worth of restorative work done to the car and then some. The paint job is from 2008 and still looks great especially after a good cleaning and waxing. The car has never been in an accident. The chrome was either new or rechromed during the USA restoration....still looks great with very little haze. The front bumper was rechromed in the Czech republic and is a dazzler. The wheel wells floorboards and undercarriage (see photos) are clean and rust free. The inside looks excellent and is very clean. The seats are extremely comfortable and the upholstery is practically flawless since the restoration. Mechanically the car is great shape and fires right up but needs a tune up from sitting in a dry workshop for the last 7 years. The brake pads have less than 5000 miles on them. The only item the owner could think of was that one of the dual gas tanks currently does not work (probably a clogged fuel line). All electronics (exterior lights interior lights switches on the dash wipers gauges stereo fan etc.) are working as well except for the clock. Everything the owner is aware of has been disclosed in pictures and description.

I will assist with loading the car onto a trailer and may help getting someone to transport the car to a new destination.
