1961 International Harvester Scout

1961 International Scout 80 4x4. 4cyl, 3 speed manual. 59,000 original miles. Original Build sheet included! This is an opportunity to own a stock, unmolested, unpainted, solid Scout 80. Very early model with slider windows. All glass is in perfect condition. Everything operates. If you know what you are looking at, you know, this is getting more rare every day. Runs right down the road on brand new Coker reproduction tires on very hard to find original 16" steel wheels. Brakes work, all knobs for heat, vent, defrost and fan are still there, original, and work. Rear hatch functions properly, holding itself open until moved up again to close. The 4x4 works both low and high. Just had a new clutch, new throw out bearing, new seals on transfer case, new oil pan gasket installed, new solenoid for clutch and stainless line also. New motor mounts and transmission mounts also. This vehicle came from New Mexico, has a complete book from the owner who had it most of its life. No rusting through on frame. Frame never repaired. Body is solid. Floors are solid. I have owned it a year, and it is time to sell it, as I get bored with them. All original paint, all original driveline, all in working order. No problems what so ever. This thing is better in person, but great in its natural element too. Questions call 563-3793919. A scout 80 just sold on here for 15k and it was no where near as good looking as this. Patina only comes with age, and this has it. Clear it, paint it, do whatever you want, but buy it knowing you will not find as solid and unmolested, untouched working time capsule as this. For sale locally, so auction can be ended. Cash or Certified check only. No i am not picking you up from the airport. Bid with confidence that this is as solid Scout 80 as you will find in original condition.
