Description:

1972 International Harvester Scout

Well, he time has come to sell the old Scout. It's been sitting for quite some time now, nd I'm never going to get around to fiddling with it. All it needs to get it back on the road is a new battery, rebuilt throttle linkage (the gas pedal is not connected to the carburetor) and some attention to the brakes. There are probably other little things that need to be fixed too.
This is your standard, oe-basic 1972 Scout II, ith rear-wheel drive (not 4WD) and a big 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed stick shift. Nothing fancy, ut a good candidate for fixing up or upgrading.
The Scout has lived in California all its life, riginally sold in Santa Barbara, nd still wears its original license plates and dealer frames. Still has the owner's manual in the glove box. We bought it about fifteen years ago from the widow of the original owner, n old guy who didn't do any customizing or modifications other than the chrome wheels, nd never even took the top off. When it started to smoke, e had the engine replaced with a newly rebuilt one; the new engine has only a few thousand miles on it so far, ut can't say exactly because the odometer doesn't work. Cable is broken, think.
The condition is about what you'd expect for a 43-year-old truck. There are a few dings, ents, nd rust spots on the body; there's some nasty rust-out in the cowl, nd a bit more in the passenger-side rocker panel, ut the fenders still look okay, ust-wise; the original upholstery on the front bench seat is worn and tattered, ut the upholstery on the fold-down back seat still looks fine. Glass is good. An after-market AM/FM/CD player (with removable face plate) has been installed in the dash.
This vehicle is sold as-is, ith no guarantees or warranties. Cash-in-hand payment preferred; payment by cashier's check or money order must clear seller's bank before taking delivery of vehicle. Buyer must arrange for shipping or bring your own trailer.
