1970 International Harvester Scout 4x4 SUV

Hello, up for sale is my 1970 International Harvester Scout 800a. It’s a factory V8, Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear. If you know your International Harvester Scouts you’ll note that the v-8, 304 motor was the biggest motor offered from factory back in late 60’s and early 70’s for the 800 models. These factory V-8’s are becoming very hard to find, this is an original California truck and it has spent it’s entire life here. There is absolutely no rust on this truck and all the trim and body panels are original to the truck. We have done a fairly extensive restoration on this beauty, it’s not a frame off job but the truck has been gone through mechanically and replaced or repaired troubled or broken parts. The 304 motor is healthy with no smoking or knocking. The 3-speed transmission and clutch shift well with no issues. The brakes, suspension and cooling system have been serviced with several new or replaced parts. The 2-barrel carb has been rebuilt along with the driver side fuel tank and all fuel lines. An electric fuel pump has been added. The truck runs and drives fantastic. This Scout sports a set of 33” MT tires and has a suspension lift of about 2” with new springs, bushings and hardware. It also has about 1 1/2” bodylift so overall about a 4” lift. We have had the truck completely repainted inside and out and the interior has been fully redone. All the windows roll up correctly and have no chips or cracks. The truck tracks the road nice, smooth and straight with no handling issues. The bumpers are aftermarket upgrades along with the 9000lb winch. The LED headlights are new also. I can go on and on about this truck just know that pictures don’t do the truck justice. Small discrepancies: the windshield wipers work sporadically due to a vacuum leak in the lines. There is currently no matching keys for the door locks. The paint is not perfect but it’s a higher than average paint job not something that you’ll be ashamed of. I am in the process of changing the shocks so those will be new.

Give me a call if you’d like to discuss. I’ve restored several IH trucks mostly Scouts but this one is very special. I’ve listed this Scout for auction with an abbreviated time frame of only 3-days, so if interested contact me to discuss. As stated we’ve done over 35 of these and they don’t remain for sale for long. My number 661-340-3497. More pics and video available if needed. Lastly this Scout is being sold “as is” with no warranty given or implied, so please have it inspected or be sure to ask the necessary questions prior to bidding. We are motivated to sell so call to workout a deal thanks.Purchase terms, deposit of $1000 paid within 24hrs of Auction end and full payment due within 3days (72hrs) of Auction end
