Description:

1948 International Harvester KB-2

This is my (almost) completely original 1948 International KB-2 pickup with 53,817 original miles. It was originally a west coast truck and I believe that I am the 3rd owner. The only modification to the truck is the conversion to 12V by the previous owner and a paint job in 1980 that still looks great. The sheet metal on the cab and fenders is excellent with some scratches but no dents, The bed has the typical bumps and bruises that you would expect to see in a working truck. All of the trim pieces are in excellent condition, the cloisonne Triple Diamond hood emblem, the stainless steel hood ornament, the front wing trim with extensions onto the fenders, the INTERNATIONAL KB-2 side emblems and all 5 original hubcaps. All door handles and window riser handles are in excellent condition. This truck comes with a (rare) optional chrome rear fender. The dash is complete with all working gauges. The crank-out windshield works as does the pop-up cowl vent. The heater with the original Triple Diamond decal works just fine. The bench seat has the original covering with the wear of a truck this age. I drive it just the way it is.All glass is good, no cracks or fogging. The carburetor and fuel pump have both been professionally rebuilt. This truck starts and drives like a '48 should. It turns heads and you'll have fun with it.
I have done my best to accurately describe my truck so if you have any questions I recommend that you contact me by email or call me at (845) 216-8448The truck is located in Dutchess County, NY
