1991 GMC Other

This C7500 GMC Topkick box truck (1991) is in great shape for a 25 year old truck. I list the faults below because i am very honest and don't like to play dumb. I restored this mechanicallywith over $7500 of upgrades in the past year. It is road proven completed and driven 8000 miles past 6 months -- including New York to Florida and back 2 1/2 times . I bought the truck to move and now no longer need it.

With a GVW of up to 26,000 pounds means you don't need to have a commercial driver's license.
Has a Morgan body with roof panels that let light into the truck.
VIN #1GDJ7H1P2MJ514759
GOOD POINTS:6 month old tires with 7500 miles on them. All new calipers, rake rotors and pads. All new shocks.New Steering gearbox.Rebuilt dipstick holder and resealed manifold.New compressor and alternator.Other new items noted below.Has a pull out ramp in rear.
DRAWBACKS:AC control panel is not working. AC system works and cools very cold, ut can't be turned on by controls. We installed an over-ride that switches the compressor on and turns on the AC. But after 5-10 minutes, t turns off again and must be turned back on again manually.A service bulletin (BULLETIN NUMBER: 93-1B-109 )was issued for the problem we are experiencing, ut it is not clear how to fix it.
The radio is also not working at the control panel.
The are numerous paint nicks and chips and rust around the truck body. The truck was originally painted yellow and this shows through in some places. It had been owned by a truck rental company when new.
We do not have the keys to the doors. The original manufacturer's key does not work either, n the doors.
Fabric torn on driver's side seat. A little foam worn away too.
A few of the bolts on the back door need replacing. We replaced some already without much trouble.
The truck is dry inside, ut the wood floor does have some stains that make it look wet in places. They are probably oil.
The wood floor inside the truck does have some chipping and deterioration.
There is water that gets into the air blower located on the passenger side under the glove box. We drilled a hole in the casing and now the water comes out onto the floor. We replaced the blower as seen below, ecause it was noisy.
The truck seems to have a governor that keeps the top speed about 65 mph.
Power steering belt wore out after about 3000 miles.
There are short lug bolts that make it hard to screw on decorative lug caps. The hub caps as well are not all able to be screwed securely onto the short lug bolts. This does not effect the wheel or tire.
Some of the orange light covers on the cab roof have cracks. The cab roof indented slightly - as pictured - from people standing on top of it.
The pullout ramp at the rear of the truck works fine, nd slides under the truck. It is held in place with its original spring clasp. However, ome part of the securing system was broken off, o it should be tied with a cord at the end for extra security when not in use.
