The Suburban has a 40-gallon fuel tank, which translates to a superlative cruising range on the highway between fill-ups. According to Chevrolet, the Suburban held up to nine passengers and had almost 41 cubic feet of space behind the third row of seats. With the second-row seat folded and third-row seat removed, it swallowed 167 cubic feet of stuff and boasted a 3,911-pound payload. This Suburban rolls on Uniroyal Laredo radials, size 235/75R15 at all four corners. The two-spoke steering wheel is in better-than-average shape, as is the instrument panel with its complete array of gauges. The inner door liners, with front map pockets, echo the rest of the interior's condition. The truck also comes with electric clock and cigarette lighter. A Kenwood AM/FM stereo with cassette deck completes the interior. For model year 1987, the method of fuel delivery for the engines was switched fromcarburetorstoelectronic fuel injection or EFI.
