Serial # TCE142S505728 This 1972 GMC Sierra Grande 402 Automatic pickup is a very rare truck with only a little over 95,000 original miles! There weren't that many made and, there sure are not that many left. It comes with factory tilt wheel steering and front disc brakes, and the optional rpm gauge. ALL gauges work! This truck is all original - with the exception of the newer aluminum radiator, a modern radio, and the electric brake controller. See pics = This truck comes with the original hydraulic brake controller and the original radio. The ONLY place it has newer paint is over the right rear fender = NO BONDO! ALL of the rest of the body is the ORIGINAL PAINT that it came with from the factory! I traveled over 1,000 miles in 3 days a few weeks ago in this truck - pulling a car trailer (over 90 degrees outside). I had absolutely no problems whatsoever. I averaged a little over 10 miles per gallon pulling a loaded car trailer between 55 and 65 miles an hour. The truck also comes with the original air conditioner compressor and brand new rocker cab replacements (see pics of those 2 items with the original radio and brake controller). There is also some rust on the optional right bedside toolbox (rare in itself). The toolbox door door can either be fabricated - or purchased used thru a contact I have in California. This truck can be driven daily or - is a very worthy candidate for a complete restoration. I have a few vehicles to move around so there will be a few more miles added to the total miles. The value of this year Sierra Grande is very high in itself. The optional and original 402 motor alone adds 30% to the truck's value. Live in Florida, California, Oregon, Canada, wherever?
