Ultra Motorsports is very pleased to offer this exceptionally solid classic truck. This 1955 GMC 100 Series pickup is rock solid and would be a great driver as is or a massive head start to a restoration project. The 1955 GMC is widely considered to be far more rare and desirable than its close Chevy relative. The body on this truck appears to be all 100% original metal and in great shape. Clearly this vehicle has been well preserved. The addition of a 12 volt system is a huge bonus. The ORIGINAL inline 6 is running strong, starts immediately, and idles perfectly. A VERY RARE and unique option on this truck is the Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission. These vehicles are very few and far between. Nearly all original parts are still with the truck and in very presentable condition. The paint is decent. Our 'decent' is probably very good to most people. There are some chips, there are some scratches, but there are no signs of bondo or previous repair. The exterior looks good enough to drive around with pride. The interior has the correct appearance for the truck and the seat is in excellent condition. It can not be stressed enough that this truck is solid and looks very presentable. All of the glass is in great shape. The rear bumper chrome is good. The front bumper chrome is probably in need of chrome but matches the overall patina of the truck very well. The underside is as solid as the topside. There are no visible signs of repair or needed repairs on the frame or floors. The bed appears to have a newer wood kit and is in good shape.
