1954 GMC Pickup --

General Motors has always been proud of their truck lineup and have every reason to be this way. The GMC Truck marque first made its appearance at the New York Auto Show in 1912. GMC produced just 372 units that year. That was the beginning of a much larger vision as GMC has been a leading truck manufacturer for now over 100 years. In 1916 a GMC truck crossed the country from Seattle to New York City in thirty days. 10 years later a 2-ton GMC truck drove from New York City to San Francisco is ...just 5 days. During the second world war GMC produced over 600 000 trucks for use by the United States Armed Forces. GMC has remained synonymous with the word truck and to this day builds the best in the business. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this tastefully put together 1954 GMC 100 Pickup. It is a very solid example. It is powered by its 1953 216 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder. The engine compartment of this truck is very neat and tidy and shows very well. The truck runs smoothly and handles exceptionally well. The brakes had been gone through by the previous owner and had the brake drums turned with new brake hardware and shoes installed. The truck has dual exhaust with Thrush glass pack mufflers. The truck has new seals throughout the body and was given new GMC running board step plates and new chrome bumpers all of which highlight the truck very well. In the bed of the truck you will find a pristine wood slatted bed with great attention to the finish work as well as the stain of the wood. Inside the cab presents very well the truck still has its original heater box. The bench seat is fresh and looks great. The matt black finish along with the chrome accents and chrome wheels really go good together on this truck and is sure to get looks wherever you drive it. The truck has 15 inch wheels in the front and 16 inch wheels in the back. The truck holds the road well and is a blast to drive.
