Description:

1971 GMC Sierra 1500

Selling my old truck. I've owned it for 18 years. I did a frame off restoration. It's still in great shape mechanically, but could use some cosmetic TLC. It has lots of little scratches and dings. The bed is unpainted because I always intended to get a bed liner. It has just a few thousand miles on it since the restoration.

  • The engine is a 350 that has been completely rebuilt:

  • The block was cleaned, magna fluxed, with new cam bearings installed.

  • The cylinders were bored out .030" with new flat top pistons and rings.

  • It has a 350 HP 327 L79 cam, with 221 duration and .447 lift. New lifters and a double roller timing chain were installed

  • The heads were cleaned, magna fluxed, and reworked with new Z28 valve springs.

  • The crankshaft was turned .010 /.010 with new main and rod bearings.

  • New oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, and reman alternator and starter.

  • The ignition has been upgraded to HEI, with new Accell wires and plugs.

  • It has a new Edelbrock performer intake manifold and Performer 1406 carburetor.

  • It has new Flowtech headers on the exhaust.

  • The transmission is a 700R4 overdrive that was completely rebuilt with heavy duty clutches and bands, a new torque converter, and corvette servos installed.

  • The driveshaft was shortened and balanced with new U joints and carrier bearing installed.

  • The front suspension has been rebuilt with new ball joints, control arm bushings, pitman arm, idler arm, tie rod ends, and sway bar bushings.

  • The frame was sand blasted and painted with epoxy rust preventive chassis coating.

  • The rear end was cleaned, inspected, the lube changed, and new axle seals installed.

  • It has all new cab support and radiator core support rubber mounts installed.

  • The brake system has been completely rebuilt with a new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, pads, and rear drums. The rotors were machined, calipers rebuilt, and all new rubber brake hoses installed.

  • It has a new blazer fuel tank kit installed in the rear and new steel fuel lines.

  • It has a new radiator, and all new cooling system hoses.
