1991 GMC Sonoma Syclone

BEING RELISTED AS A RESULT OF A NON-PAYING BIDDER
You know... Life sometimes throws some curveballs at you. Well, I had one of those curveballs thrown at me in May of 2016, when I was involved in a serious automobile accident, and I lost my legs as a result. It is for this reason, and this reason only, that I am selling my prized Syclone. Unfortunately, the mini-truck sized cab is not conducive to driving safely and easily with two prosthetic legs.
This specific truck was the apple of my eye, when my best friend's father purchased it from the original owner, when it was just a year to two years old. Being a young man in the Navy, there was simply no way that I could afford such a vehicle at the time. But I swore to myself that one day I would be able to buy one to enjoy.
Every time that I would come home to visit, I would always go and visit my friends, which also meant checking-up on the truck. And each time that I would do so, I would tell my friend's dad, "If you ever want to sell the Syclone, please call me first." Well, after almost 20 years, that call finally came! I purchased the truck in 2010 or 2011 (I can't remember exactly), from my very close friends. What this means is that I have known this truck for virtually every year of its existence, with the exception of the earliest days of its life. As for the beginning, I do know this... It was owned by a doctor and his wife. He had a Typhoon and she had my Syclone. They divorced and sold-off a bit of their assets, and this is when my friend's dad bought the Syclone. So, it has been adult-owned since day one, and never abused in any way.
On the day I bought it, I drove it home to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (where I used to live). And it pained me to watch the odometer turn over past the 60,000 mile mark! Since I have had multiple toy cars at one time since then, my Syclone was driven sparingly. Since my purchase, it has only amassed 4,000 miles. Upon purchasing, I had all of the fluids and spark plugs changed. I had the headliner and a faulty window regulator replaced. I added HID headlights, as the originals proved to be quite dim on the way home on the day that I purchased it. The original shock absorbers were replaced too, as well as the spark plug wires and air filter. I have retained the original shock absorbers for anyone that wishes to take them with the truck upon purchase.
I added some aftermarket stereo equipment to the Syclone upon purchasing. It's a higher-end Kenwood head unit with remote control, EQ, Pandora and HD FM. Additionally, there are 3 amplifiers (2 Soundstream, 1 Boston Acoustics), Infinity and Rockford Fosgate kick panel speakers, a Kicker 10" subwoofer, and a Soundstream capacitor. While the system plays, I would recommend having some wiring alterations performed to reduce engine noise and optimize operation. Again, no cutting of the interior occurred for the speakers or in the dash for the head unit. Plus, I do have the original equipment, which I will provide to the purchaser, if desired. The current stereo affords bluetooth connectivity for telephone calls and hands-free speaking. There is also a connection cable to attach your music device, so that you may listen to your own music catalog.
The windows are tinted, but not too dark. This was necessary in the South Florida sun, and it really looks nice with the black color of the truck.
The tonneau cover is the original cover that came with the truck. It is in pretty good shape, but not great, as it is showing it's age a little. All hardware is present, with the exception of one little corner "L joint" on the passenger side, at the front of the bed. This really is not visible. However, in the interest of full-disclosure, I wanted to mention it now.
Everything works on the truck to the best of my knowledge. However, I do know that the cruise control works intermittently.
The air conditioner blows cold and the heat blows hot!
The truck always starts on the first try, as I always leave the Syclone connected to a battery tender. She pulls very strongly when desired and upshifts quickly with authority.
The tires have solid tread life remaining, but they do have a little bit of age on them. I'm not sure exactly when they were replaced last, as it was before my time of ownership. Whomever purchases the Syclone, may wish to refresh them with a set of new, high performance tires. Although this is not a current necessity..
I'm sure that there is something that I have forgotten to mention. However, in the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. If you're looking for a Syclone that has been adult-owned, driven responsibly, taken care of, and appreciated for what it is... This is the one. While it's not perfect, I have not made cosmetic changes to it, as I desire to keep it in its "survivor" state, as this seems to be the way the market is going for special interest vehicles such as this. It's a super-fun truck, which never fails to attract attention from those who recognize what they are. There were less than 3,000 of them made in 1991, which is the only year that they were made (other than 1992, where 3 were made). Chances are, unless you take it to a show which has other Syclones, you may never pass another one while you are driving yours!
I have struggled with the idea of selling my truck. I wanted one for so long, and I've really enjoyed driving it for the years that I've owned it. However, It's just not too comfortable for me since I've received prosthetic legs. I'd love to keep this beast, and I have no issues with doing so. However, I would really like for it to go to someone that can appreciate it for what it is, and enjoy driving it much more than I am able to do. It's really a great truck that you'll surely enjoy!

Should you desire to see additional pictures, please let me know. I will post or send them to you at my first opportunity.
My Syclone is also listed locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you intend to bid on it, please do so without hesitation. However, please have your finances in order, so that you can purchase the truck if you place a bid. A deposit of 500.00 is due IMMEDIATELY upon completion of the auction, due to my experience today with a non-paying bidder. This deposit is non-refundable, unless you come and inspect the vehicle, and feel that I have misrepresented it in my listing. Should this occur, I will gladly refund your deposit. This is the only reason that I would refund the deposit.
This Syclone is sold "as is, where is" with no warranties written or implied, as is typical with used vehicles outside of the manufacturer's warranty time period.
You would be quite challenged to find a better, low mileage, unmolested Syclone at as good or better of a price. Do comparison shopping on eBay and see for yourself. Stated mileage subject to minor changes, as it may be driven some prior to sale.
