1953 GMC Suburban

Up for auction is a newly restored and upgraded 1953 GMC Carryall with an extremely rare Clam shell rear door. Frame off restoration began with a complete soda blasting of both body and undercarriage and all imperfections were worked out with hammer and dolly as opposed to using filler. The floors are all original and were rust free prior to being sprayed with Lizard Skin Coating as was the complete undercarriage. The drive train has been updated with a Mustang 2 front end, custom sway bar, updated rack & pinion steering & matching power steering pump. The engine has been upgraded to a Jasper Crate 283 CI, 285 HP with power pack heads, high rise aluminum intake, Holly 650 carberetor and Headers. The rear end has been replaced with a Chevy truck 373 gear and 10 bolt main. A new high performance Overdrive transmission from MonsterTransmissions was matched to the engine & drive train to make interstate cruising a true pleasure. Interior modifications includes a new upgraded Air Conditioning System, Electric seats, tilt steering colum with custom steering wheel, new full illumination LED gauges, all parts have been powder coated, a complete new wire harness with to many add'l items to list in this limited space. A complete restoration package including work completed as well as many more pictures is available upon request from interested buyers. There was no cost spared in the completion of this professional restoration.
