Description:

1939 Ford Other

1939 Ford Coupe Stock Car Racer. True survivor raced in Northern Florida in the 1950's before retiring to a museum there with the advent of overheads. Engine is 1948 Mercury bored .060 with ISKY cam, djustable lifters and Zephyr springs. Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, enny Franklin quick change rear-end. Circular holes in fenders allow dirt and air to escape the bodywork. This car was featured at Ford's 100th Anniversary of Racing in 2001 and Ford's 100th Anniversary in 2003 as well as at Motor Muster in Greenfield Village in Dearborn,MI. An excellent example of a true race car that can be used for vintage racing or as a museum feature car.
