There's a great deal that can be said about the car pictured above.
So please accept my personal invitation to enjoy the pictures, description and videos regarding it.
In 1968 the Ford Mustang had just begun to hit its stride.
That being said the hierarchy wanted to step things up because of the onslaught of new competition.
This particular Mustang is a great example of what the establishment had in mind to magnify the brand!
Advanced engine options and newly instituted luxury appointments would be key!
This distinctive pony car was first purchased by a lady (Mrs. Tillman) from El Dorado Arkansas (D.S.O 63) in the summer of 1968.


The individual who I acquired it from had the pleasure of meeting her.
Although barely five foot tall she had a reputation (in years past) for being pretty feisty about her beloved Mustang.
Seems the car would stay in her possession until the late nineties when she relinquished ownership.
Once that happened he immediately pounced on the opportunity and secured rights of passage.
Being an avid collector made it an easy decision for him to restore the vehicle years later.




I have to admit the status quo red, blue and black cars were in my initial search criteria.
However I'm extremely happy that I stumbled across this special Mustang!



Once the car cover is lifted immediate compliments follow!
People can't help but take notice of the beautiful Ivy Gold / Lime exterior sprinkled with black accents!



The chartreuse colored body simply dazzles in direct sunlight!
This ponies pigment tends to morph into a citrus calx at dusk "absolutely stunning"!
There's a sublet hint of metallic glaze that has also been incorporated.



A HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR!






Each body panel has respectable contour and uniformity.
I haven't met anyone who didn't appreciate the cars overall presentation.




There's not any notable scratches, chips, damage or amateur defects to be found.
All purpose gaps and sequence tooling lines are in agreement with factory tooling specifications.



Each direct molding has been either refurbished or replaced.
New Ford sanctioned fender script and 302 designated badges have been affixed accordingly.
An appealing pair of rocker panel moldings are in place to help shield the baseline from debris.




The trunk edge moldings and both bumpers have been replaced with correct N.O.S components.



A nostalgic turn signal hood leads the way up front (excellent condition)!




Incredible contrast is provided by a set of menacing


RAVEN BLACK GT SIDE STRIPES!






Further highlighting the color distinction is an obsidian flavored vinyl top!
You can't take her out of the garage without receiving thumbs up or camera phones flashing.At the end of the day "I think it's easy for anyone to fall in love with this stallion"!

Upon opening either door an amazing limited luxury interior is on full display!



Plenty of options were thrown at the enclosed area.
To start a choice set of deluxe bucket seats can be found up front.
These are certainly original to the car (soft signs of wear can be detected on the drivers seat).
It's still nearly impossible to find 53 year old upholstery in this shape!
Incredibly all of the authentic opulent buttons are still present.



The rear bench seat is in perfect condition.


Right to left you will find a pair of show quality limited production deluxe door panels.



The deluxe speaker grills and other accessories are still well kept.
Front and center is a flawless moss stained steering wheel and horn pad!


Nestled in between the cockpit area is a premier center console (not damaged like most).
The upscale arrangements continue with Fords signature / exclusive overhead console (RARE)!


This SUPER SWEET option was typically only found in GT & Shelby models (SELDOM SEEN)!
A delightful set of pony embossed floor mats are laid over the original loop pile carpet.


The dash pads immaculate and the surrounding glass is damage free.
No matter how you slice it this pony is ready for prime time"quality investment"!

What would a classic Mustang be without having a factory V/8?
There's no need to ponder that question for long.
This pony left Dearborn with Fords newly released 302 4 VJ Code power plant!




Commendable power is provided by the performance driven small block.Car & Drivers brass stated in 1968 that the newly released "J Code 4/V option was highly under rated, quick & well built"!
The high revving motor received a mild makeover just a short time ago.A Comp Cam was installed along with Melling lifters. Most of the other internals are original FOMOCO hardware.



The factory (#'s matching 4/V cast iron intake) and updated Edlerbrock carburetor makes it a thrilling ride!
Many watermark decals are still in place.
Preventive maintenance has been addressed religiously.
This one has new plugs, wires, thermostat, belts, hoses, battery, voltage regulator, fuel pump and too much more to list. n
GO AHEAD / DRIVE WITHCONFIDENCE!!!
New oil filter, fuel pump, fuel tank, sending unit and lines have been planted front to back.
Yesteryear is closer than ever!
Every time the throttle is mashed a sweet note is sung by aid of a new chambered exhaust system!

The floors, frame, etc are all rock solid!
