This 1989 fox body mustang notchback does not disappoint! If you want to have a blast while driving to work, or picking up groceries really quickly, you have found the right car! This car will be heard long before it’s seen, so keep in mind if you are worried about your neighbor’s feelings! This car came into my life little over a year ago by pure coincidence. I have a good buddy who owns and operates a local dealership and is turned onto a lot of classics bc of his line of work. He buys, restores, and sells cars on the regular. An older lady contacted him about this Mustang that belonged to her husband. He is the one who had this car built to race. The motor is a 393 stroker. He passed away shortly after building the motor and never actually raced the car. The car sat for a number of years before my buddy got the call. I own an upholstery shop here in Wilmington, NC and do a lot of work for him so when he called to ask about doing some touch ups to the interior I fell in love with the car and had to own it before he did anything to it! So this is how I ended up with the car. This car was originally a black car, but when I first bought, it was a hideous burgundy color with a white checkered hood, and a bunch of drilled holes in the deck lid that must have had a wing installed at some point. I bought a new deck lid, and had the car sanded down, and painted back black. It’s not a show car, but it is an extremely nice driver! The interior was completely original and actually in pretty great shape except for a torn seam on the driver’s seat. I debated whether or not to redo the interior or just fix that one seam. In the end, I obviously had the entire interior reupholstered except for the original carpet and headliner that was in great shape. The carpet has a little bit of fading, but I made custom mats that honestly hide the fading, and make it super easy to pull out and shake the dirt out. You won’t ever have to vacuum! So this big ole beast of a motor was also setup to except nitrous. There was not a tank in the trunk but there was a tank mount and steal braided lines and electrical all ran to the trunk where the mount was. All the lines and electrical is still run, I just have it under the new carpet in the trunk. You will also notice the purge button in the center console with a green button. It’s connected to a long phone cord looking wire that can be pulled out from center console. I NEVER hooked up nitrous to this motor and am not sure if it was ever used. I know NOTHING about it, so just want to let you know up front, there is a lot there that I am unsure how it works. You can also let me know if you want the nitrous tank mount and I will be sure to put in the car before it ships! Mechanically, I know very little as well except the motor is a 393 with aluminum heads, holley carburetor, and ac delete pulley kit. It has electric fans that are controlled by a toggle switch near the driver’s right leg. You are more than welcome to come see before auction ends as well. I have 100% positive feedback, so bid with confidence, and if you have any questions at all, you can call or text me pretty much anytime and I will do my best to answer! Good luck and Happy Bidding. NO RESERVE! Highest bidder will own this amazing car!! I also Have many "before" and during pics for the new owner! ZERO RUST EVER!
