You are looking at a 1957 Ford Thunderbird that has been in dry inside storage for over 40 years. It was a California car before it was brought to Minnesota years ago.This has the removable hardtop. There is a tonneau cover also. There is a transferableMinnesota bonded title.This is a very restore-ablerunning project car that is not all rusted out.
The drivetrain is a Y-block 4 barrel motor that runs really good and doesn't smoke. I have it running off a can under the hood, I didn't want to take a chance trying to start it off the gas tank incase it is rusty. The tranny is an automatic the also works and shifts good. It also has Power Steering & a Town & Country Radio.
The floor pans look good, the frame is good, the quarter panels seem really solid and are original. The car is nicer than it appears in the pictures. The color is Desert Rose and I think that is the original color, it has had a repaint probably 50 years ago.
The areas of concern are the brakes do not work from sitting for so many years, I didn't try to fix them. There is one rust hole in the trunk in the back passenger side trunk floor as you can see in the pictures.
A $1000 deposit is due with 24 hours of auctions end and the balance within 7 days by wire transfer, check, or cash in person. If paying by check the car can't leave until the funds have cleared. I would like the car picked up with 14 days but I understand trucking some times is hard to line up.
