Description:

1977 Ford F-250

1977 F250 Supercab Camper Special. Unrestored original paint survivor. Rare jade and white exterior with jade interior. I purchased this from my next door neighbor of many years when he became too old to drive. He purchased it new in New Mexico. He primarily used it to take his boat to Lake Powell every year and it was garaged the rest of the year. I have owned it for 9 years and it has always been garaged during that time. This has been a Southern Colorado truck all its life so there are no serious rust issues. The paint is very good with the exception of sun fade areas on the roof . It has the usual Colorado freckles on the front of the hood from the traction compound CDOT uses in the winter and some other minor scratches and small dents. Shows very well and gets a LOT of serious attention when taken out. Jade vinyl seats and carpet are in great shape. I put a green saddle blanket form fitted cover on the front bench to save the original covering and provide seasonal comfort. The dash pad has a crack in the middle but the previous owner put a matching green dash pad over it. The truck has been meticulously maintained and detailed by both owners. The topper is a Ford factory item with the Ford sticker still on it. It is quite robust. There are 2" hitch receivers front and rear. The rear hitch is welded on. It too is robust with air shocks and bags. I installed 17" allow rims as the 16.5 inch tires were no longer available when I purchased it. The original factory wheels, tires beauty rings, center caps and lug nuts ARE included in the purchase should the new owner desire to do a complete restoration. Truck has A/C and cruise control and dual fuel tanks. Previous owner replaced the factor radio with a newer version. Speedometer needle bounces sometimes but the odometer works. I use my speedometer app on my phone for accurate speed.CB radio and chrome fire extinguisher in cab. Matching green sprayed bedliner and bed mat. Other specs are as follows:
460 CI Engine- bone stock, never disassembled. the only modification was the addition of an Edelbrock carb. It has regular oil service since new. Upon my purchase I started running Amsoil with zinc additive. Does not smoke. Rear seal leaks a little (like they all do). I put an oil absorbent pad between the oil pan and flywheel housing to keep any leakage off the floor. I change it when I change oil at 3000 miles and works out OK. Engine starts within one revolution and runs smooth. Just had a recent service. Engine nicely detailed with all its original stickers and branding marks. Still full of 460 torque and runs nicely at highway speeds.
Transmission- Automatic C6. Amsoil ATF and recent service. Runs and shifts as it should.

Service and parts under my ownership:A/C recently serviced and blows coldHalogen headlightsBelts and radiator hoses- recent coolant flushBrakes front and rear.
