Description:

1956 Ford Thunderbird

This '56 Tbird is originally an Arizona car that came to MI in '92. It was recently repainted in the original Fiesta Red, it's a nice paint job, but not show quality. The repainted continental kit and aftermarket fender skirts are included as are a new carpet and dash covering, plus lots of new chrome bits. The bumpers are very nice as well. The seat was recently recovered and the door panels look new as well. The glass all looks good and the top fits nicely with new seals included as well.

This Tbird starts right up and idles nicely. It can be driven, but will need a tuneup and some brake work at a minimum to be road-worthy. Hagerty's guide on Tbirds notes how easy the early birds are to maintain.
The things I think that this Tbird will need include a new steering wheel, finish the installation of the interior (carpet and dash), some exhaust work, a new set of hubcaps, new tires, and detailing the engine bay... maybe more.

This car is a solid base for someone who wants a nice driver to enjoy. Hagerty says a #3 (Good) condition early bird should fetch "just under $40,000). Although this one is as solid an example as one is likely to find in this price range in MI, I know it needs some work, so I've priced it with that in mind.

The mileage listed is an estimate, as the actual mileage cannot be confirmed. This car is sold "as-is, where-is" with no warranties expressed or implied. If you'd like to take a look at the car before bidding, please feel free to contact me.
