Restoration of this 1938 Ford Pickup has been noted by Hemming's and was in their April 2006 issue shortly after purchase at Barrett-Jackson in January 2006. One Hemming's quote: "One of the finest 38s with perfect bed and ultra-smooth paint work, well bought." Frame up restoration, original 221cid engine now with hardened SS valve seats. Brakes upgraded to 1939 hydraulics. Factory overload suspension, ? ton long bed of natural finished oak with chrome runners, cab heater and wipers. Shop reference book, specification guide poster and period advertising included along with April 2006 Hemming's Magazine containing the review of this truck with picture. A standout pickup to see and reliable to drive, enjoyed approximately 8,000 miles trouble free since 2006.
