1979 Ford F-150

STK 2701 1979 Ford F150
We're not sure if Ford was using the 'Built-Ford-Tough' slogan back in 1979, but if they were, this 1979 F-150 4x4 would certainly qualify. The '79 F-150 has a distinctive squared-off appearance that is just right for a pickup. This truck had a partial restoration and is built to be driven. The body was refinished in Medium Silver and the bed has a sprayed in black liner. The truck sits nice – raised, but not too much. Polished alloys mount 35x12.5R15 General Grabber off-road radials. Based on the VIN, this F-150 was delivered with a 351ci Windsor, but the owner states that the engine is now a 429ci big-block (series 385 engine family). That appears correct based on the fact that it has 7-bolt valve covers (unique to the 429/460 385 series). It is backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and manual 4-WD transfer case. The suspension features power steering, power disc/drum brakes and manual front hubs. Inside, the interior has been nicely reupholstered in medium blue cloth and the factory dash contains a full compliment of gauges. Other features include an AM/FM/CD stereo system and sliding rear cab window. This is a fun ride that any Blue Oval fan will enjoy. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
