1978 Ford F-150 Ranger

80% complete restoration. The truck is currently in mock up. The last major hurdle is wiring which is in process. The harness is laid out and has been put in shrink wrap, ready for final termination. Complete frame off restoration ready to complete. I have a huge list of new stock and custom parts. Every part of every system is new. Frame, suspension, front and rear diffs, steering, core support and inner fenders have been powder coated. New hood, front fenders, doors, all new glass, all new window felt and seals.

460 Engineprofessionally built. Engine has 45 minutes of break in time.

.30 over TRW flat top pistons, truck rods w/ ARP bolts, John Kasse oil pump. New Ford Motorsports oil pan and timing cover, comp cams thumper cam, full roller w/ crane roller rockers. the bottom end and heads are studded. New aluminum Super Cobra Jet heads, with Ferrea valves, and comp cams springs, retainers and keepers. Powder coatedFord Motorsports valve covers. JW "The Wheel" flywheel. Complete serpentine belt set up from a 1996 F350. Powder coated Weiand Stealth intake w/ EZ EFI fuel injection. Completely new fuel system including fuel tank, 6an fittings and black an hose. Complete MSD ignition.Be Cool aluminumradiator and shroud with dual electric fans.

The exhaust is L & L shorty headers (black ceramic coated), custom 3'' stainless cross over to 4" Flowmaster 2 to 1 merge collector and singe 4'' stainless diesel muffler and 4" stainless exhaust pipe exiting in the stock location. (right side behind the rear tire)It has an unbelievable sound!

Ford C6 trans, completely rebuilt. New Hughes Performance slightlyhigher than stockstallconverter ( 1700 -2000). NewProcess 208 transfer case, completely rebuilt. Brand new drive shafts. Completely rebuilt Dana 44 front and Ford 9 inch rear with 4.56 gears. Open front and posi rear.Every single piece of the brake system is new. Including stainless hard lines and stainless flex lines. New, not rebuilt master cylinder and brake booster. All new e-brake cables and hardware.The steering box has been rebuilt, along with a new steering shaft and u joints.

9'' Superlift lift kit including shocks, front coils radius arm brackets, and rear leaf springs. New Wild Horses custom, adjustabletrack bar and brackets, chromoly steering links and 3/4 ton tie rods. Custom rear traction bars

New 385x65-16 / 38 x 14.5- 16 Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain tiresmounted on 12 x16 Eagle Alloy wheels.

The interior is all brand new! Dyna mat installed everywhere.After market, in dash A/C. The entire system is brand new. Dakota digital dash. American wiring harness. Stainless steel tilt steering column. New seat, new carpet new head liner, new door panels, all new door window regulators. New inner and outer door handles, new door strikers and door latches. All new dash pieces New starter and alternator. Alpine CD player, 6'' round, 6x9 speakers w/ small sub and amps.

Fresh, single stage paint has neverbeen outside. (Wimbledon White). Itwill need a few touch ups. Cab and bed were water blasted. All rust was replaced with new metal, including the entire bed floor, cab corners and drip rails. There is zero rust in the truck and only filler toblend panel repairs. All new aluminum"Sport"body trim, all new head, tail, blinker and running lights. New grille shell and billet grille. Boxes and boxes of new parts, bolts, chips and everything else.

I'm missing a lot of details. Nearly every piece of the truck is brand new or rebuilt using new parts. I am an ASE certified mechanic, this is not "slapped together". There are no major expenses needed to finish the truck. Front and rear bumpers are needed and I'm sure there are the nickel and dime parts.

National Parts Depot will be sorry to see this project finished! The last time I was there they had over 15K in "stuff" on file.
