1967 Ford Mustang Convertible

For sale is my 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible with a Ford-built racing5.0L 302 V8. My dad and I bought this car years ago and restored it from the ground up. He has been a mechanic his whole life and has rebuilt tons of cars, so this was far from his first project car. We rebuilt the car while I was in high school and finished it senior year, but then I moved down to Florida for college and stayed there since, so the car has had little use over the last few years. I drove it when I was back from college during the summers and anytime I came to visit. It can't have more than 5,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt.I have no idea what the actual mileage on the car is since we rebuilt it and the odometer is broken. The speedometer works though and it has an RPM gauge.I love the car deeply, but I'm down in Florida, and I don't have space/a garage for it, and my Dad is tired of it taking up space in his garage, so (unfortunately for me but fortunately for you) it is time to sell it.
This car turns heads anywhere you drive it. I can't park it anywhere without getting a compliment or have some start talking about how they (or someone they know) used to have an old Mustang one just like it, and how they loved that car. This is not your Grandfather's Mustang though. Not in looks or performance:
  • It's got a Ford-built 302 V8 racing motor, with custom-made headers and 2-inch dual exhaust.
  • Heavy-duty sway bars are in the front and rear
  • 4 piston disc brakes in the front with slotted rotors
  • Stainless steel brake lines
  • Stainless steel exhaust
  • Upgraded power steering
  • 3-speed automatic transmission, but it is set up to handle a transmission with overdrive
  • Completely rust-free
  • Garage kept
  • Convertible top doesn't have any scratches or holes
  • Custom matte black paint job with matte red racing stripes
  • Custom rear seats with red piping
  • Red and black racing seats in the front, though we have the rails for the original seats if you want to swap them out
  • 17" black rims
  • 215/50 ZR17 wheels
  • Electronic ignition
  • Four barrel Holley carburetor
  • Bluetooth/Ipod/USB/CD/AM/FM RadioKenwood Excelon KDC-X597 Receiver
  • Kenwood 1200W amp
  • Road ThunderMTX Dual 12" RTL Vented EnclosureSubwoofers in the trunk
  • 4 6 1/2" Polk 2-way slim speakers. 2 in the front and two in the rear in custom, removable, black and red speaker boxes
  • GT grill with Fog lamps
  • Interior lights and underglow
  • Custom red and black stitched interior door panels
  • Power brakes
Being an old, rebuilt car, it does have a few imperfections. The paint has a few blemishes, though nothing really bad or noticeable without inspection. If it starts to pour rain, the car will leak through the convertible top a bit, so best to keep away from any hurricanes. The engine likes high RPM, so this means bad MPG, even on the highway--but let's be real if you're worried about MPG this is not the car for you anyway. The windows don't line up perfectly, so this makes the driver side door stick out evert so slightly and creates a gap between a couple of the windows and convertible top when it is up. The tiny rear windows can't be rolled down without removing the rear speakers (though they are in a removable box). Also, the passenger-side mirror is prone to wobbling. The passenger side window crank is prone to falling off on long drives.
Otherwise, it drives really well. No mechanical problems. Like I said, my father is a mechanic and he has always kept up with the car to keep it in great condition. It's a ton of fun to drive, and it doesn't take much to get the tires spinning or to do a good fish-tail.The car is loud and has a wonderful, throaty rumble to it, even on idle, but it's not so loud that everyone in the neighborhood is going to hate you every time you back out of the driveway. We went for sound quality over volume. Overall the car is super clean, top to bottom.
This is a mustang not like many others. It's got the old school look with some new school power and toys. I've had a ton of fun driving this car, and it literally the only car I've ever seen that any and everyone asks for a ride in, car person or not (My Dad has a Jaguar F-Type and this car gets more attention).Honestly, I want it to go to a good home more than anything. I encourage you to come by and take a look if you're a serious buyer. Of course, feel free to message me with any questions.
