1955 Ford Thunderbird --

This is exactly what you want on a 1955 Ford Thunderbird. It's coming off long-term ownership that included a frame-off restoration. And it features a terrific color combo inside and out, great factory features, and some cool upgrades. So dig into the details on this icon. The consignor owned this car for 17 years. It was given a frame-off restoration about a dozen years ago and has been treated with respect ever since. The body was carefully sandblasted... and prepped before the first coat of PPG Torch Red when on, and so this one really does shine as bright as your nostalgia. More than just beautiful paint and bodywork, we love these first-year T-birds for the brightwork. All the details look quite nice, including the sporty hood scoop, faux fender louvers, and trim around the jet-inspired taillights. The bumpers have been re-chromed so you really get to see the twin bullets up front and the integrated exhaust in the rear. But your favorite piece of brightwork to talk about will likely be the genuine Kelsey Hayes wire wheels. This one has all the right accessories, including fender skirts and the correct color-matched hardtop. But we kinda like the look of the crisp white folding roof the best. It coordinates with the whitewalls to give a two-tone style appearance. The same red and white appeal of the outside also continues inside â€" so you get a great coordinated look with the roof on or off. In fact, you'll probably do plenty of cruising open to the world, because this just looks so nice. The two-tone is expertly intertwined on the seats and door panels, and it's joined by the sporty machine-turned trim that flows from the doors and across the dash. This was Ford's personal luxury vehicle, and that's reflected today in great premium features like power windows and a power seat. You'll love slipping behind the artful factory steering wheel and looking at the cool plexiglas speedometer. You might also spot the well-integrated AM/FM stereo upgrade w/Bluetooth. It means you get to listen to the most modern tunes in this very vintage ride. Under the hood is the "Thunderbird Special" 292 cubic inch V8. It's believed to be the original motor, and it was rebuilt only abut 8,000 miles ago. It not only looks great, right down to the Thunderbird valve covers, but it also has proper hardened valve seals to run on modern pump gas. If this is starting to sound like a T-bird built for cruising, then you'll also love to know that the restoration was quite thorough, including the brake master cylinder, body mounts, bushings, and much more to make this feel solid on the road. Plus, power steering and the rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission makes driving effortless. You're going to love everything on this one, right down to the clean and painted undercarriage. It's the iconic T-bird with all the hard work done, which makes the price all that more amazing. Call now!
