1952 Ford Other Pickups --

This 1952 Ford F-1 pickup is one of those awesome vehicles we get in from time to time, you know, the one that you always wanted and didn't think you could afford to buy or build. Well, strap in, because this one is remarkably affordable and beautifully built. Featuring a slick paint job and dependable small block Ford power, this F-1 is primed to perfectly fill that void in your garage. The Ford F-1 is arguably... the best-looking post-war truck, and there's just about nothing you can do to make them unattractive. Fortunately, all the right stuff is here: beautiful blue paint, all the trim has been neatly re-chromed, and there's a beautifully finished wood bed out back. At this price, you'd expect a truck that's been used hard and put away wet, but quite the contrary is true here. Instead, it still looks pretty fresh and beautifully done, with professional workmanship throughout. Those fat fenders have been sanded and blocked to make them smoother than new, that big clamshell hood fits well, and even the running boards have been neatly finished. Even though it's been driven a bit, the paint looks good, but it isn't like those trailer queens you see, so you won't be afraid to drive it every chance you get, which really is the reason for owning a truck like this. In fact, this one has been a regular cruiser so you know it's well sorted and an excellent driver. And for long cruises, that wood bed is big enough to carry everything you need without worries. The interior has been modestly updated without losing any of its '50s character. There's still a bench seat, but the soft blue fabric is a lot more comfortable than the original vinyl, and there are matching carpets in place of the factory rubber mat. The factory door panels are now covered by a material that resembles a sweater your grandmother may have knitted for you, but they're plush and work well inside this cozy cabin. The original gauge cluster is still in place and the gauges are in great condition, framed by a handsome three-spoke steering wheel attached to a steering column that also has a tachometer strapped to it to monitor the revs. A few amenities adorn the cab as well, with R134a A/C flowing from the under-dash unit, power windows moving the glass, and a CD player tucked away in the glove box. It's comfortable, stylish, and easy to drive, just the way you would have done it if you were doing it for yourself, right? There's a 351 cubic inch Ford V8 under the hood doing a great job of moving the vintage truck and offers a great soundtrack. It's neatly dressed with chrome Moroso valve covers and chrome air cleaner, and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor ensures that it's plenty potent out on the road. The block is clean and tidy and it's dressed up with a bit of chrome and fresh hoses, as well as some gray plug wires to show off recent maintenance. The front suspension is independent and it brings power steering and front disc brakes, and there's a 9-inch rear end out back. With an automatic transmission, this truck cruises effortlessly at modern highway speeds and a great-sounding dual exhaust system that dumps out behind both running boards and uses glasspack mufflers for a comfortable burble at idle and a fantastic roar when you stand on it. Shiny "bullet-hole" wheels complete the vintage look and carry 215/70/15 front and 275/60/15 rear Cooper Cobra blackwall radials.
