1932 Ford Other --

We know you're checking out this 1932 Ford roadster because it looks like it could be that perfect one where a bold street machine has all the right upgrades. After all, this was built with legendary components carefully assembled into an award-worthy presentation. And they even added a 454 V8 with large dual quads on top to make sure this lives up to its flame-kissed looks. So when a low-mileage, performance-built full custom is up for grabs, it's time to... take notice. If you're going to build an award-worthy roadster, then you should start by making sure it knows how to command instant attention. The Tangelo Orange radiates so much modern gloss and shine, they'll think your '32 is nuclear powered. And once the gathering crowd gets closer, that's when they'll really see all the terrific details. You're looking at a quality Downs body. Fit and finish is spectacular, with uniform gaps, super smooth body panels, and zero interference from items like handles to get in the way of the smooth-flowing presentation. In fact, you'll notice that the special Deuce Factory frame does not have a crossmember out front. That means nothing get in the way of that iconic tall waterfall grille, and it makes this custom machine look like it wants to consume all the lesser cars out there. You get terrific brightwork details â€" from the polished wheels with an aggressive stagger, to the Duvall triple chrome plated windshield frame. But the detail you'll love the most are those amazing flames. A true street machine should always have custom blaze-work, and this utilizes the louvers in the hood to elevate this icon to artwork status. While this one looks great with the one-piece removable canvas hardtop in place, a roadster like this is really meant to be open to the world. The tasteful tan interior seems to nicely complement the exterior orange that returns on the dash and door tops. This is a well-coordinated look for form and function where the recessed bolstering in the seats is mimicked on the door panels. And the steering wheel has a winged pattern that is continued over the panel that frames the full Classic Instruments readouts. Other bright pieces have plenty of function, like on the tilt steering column and Lokar floor shifter. The whole build is thoughtful, right down to details like the matching trunk and the billet cup holder that slides out from the middle of the dash. The engine bay can win you awards all on its own. It has a smooth presentation, amazing shiny components, and great details like the air topper with air-brushed flames. And there's a ton of substance behind the style. This is a 454 cubic-inch big block V8 that includes roller rockers, Sanderson shorty headers, and topped with two Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors. Plus, it has been built with all the right pieces, including Zoops pulleys, HEI ignition, an aluminum radiator w/Spal electric fan, and a Flaming River Featherweight steering box. The undercarriage photos will reveal a full color-matched presentation with a ton of polished components. So you know this is the kind of car that will have you putting a mirror under it at the shows. But while you're checking all of this out, don't forget to spot the pieces that also make this a great driver. It includes the strong TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. Plus, you have the polished four-link front end and equally shiny Jaguar-style independent rear end with adjustable coilovers. The sale comes with build receipts as well as plenty of extras to keep this custom protected while on the road (like a bug shield.) Fully finished in all the right ways that makes people sit up and take notice, this is a fantastic Deuce roadster you need to get your hand on today!
