This is a very unique tribal themed street rod. Base on a 1940 Ford Pickup. It is a "Wild Rod" chassis and fiberglass body. It was the perfect building block to create one of the most unique street rods in the country today!
It is totally GREEN! Not the color, but the ability to run on peanut oil! Yes, it is powered by a Bully Dog chipped 6.0 Ford V-8 POWER STROKE Turbo Diesel. Hooked to a 5 speed stock OEM Ford tranny connected to a Currie 9 inch 3:70 Posi. All ceramic exhaust.
"King Kong" graphics grace the tilt up hood revealing the shoe horned power plant. Tribal accents appear throughout the custom interior. Fronts shod with Petrols 5 Spoke Black and Chrome 18 X 10 wrapped with directional BFG G-Force T/As. Rears are Petrol 5 spoke black chrome 20 X 12 .
On the custom "Wild Rod" powder coated frame there are 4 wheel hydro-boost disk brakes. Suspension is Mustang II with "Shockwave" air bags front and rear. Bags are controlled "in cab" with front/rear controllers. Rear 4 bar suspension keeps power on the pavement.
This car is a show car crowd pleaser. Signed by BOTH Henry Winkler AND George Barris. As most know George rarely signs cars. (Only when they meet the strictest of his custom criteria.) Always a show winner! Wins in both it's unique engineering and aesthetics as well.
Total state of the art gauge package by Tri-Tech. Four independent computers control power functions, ride and comfort. Vintage Air keeps you Kool in the Summer months. Custom wheel and tilt supplement driver comfort. Top of the line Kustom Stereo.
This truck was appraised several years ago at over $100K! Obviously that much was put into the truck not counting labor and love.
