I searched long and hard to find this beautiful Fox Body Mustang. Most of the cars I came across were rusted, twisted, beaten up, or way too modified. Not this car! Practically everything is original and still like new - interior, paint, engine, under carriage, wheels, etc. The engine runs great and the clutch is like butter. The nostalgic "Cherry Bomb" exhaust installed by the original owner sounds great as it crackles while you come to the stop light.
Why I love this '85 Mustang...
  • T-Tops are Cool and Really Rare
  • Last Year of the Carburetor Mustang
  • First Year of the H.0. 5.0
  • Four-Eye Headlights
  • Only 28,950 Original Miles
  • Ground Effects look sweet!
  • Unbelievably Clean inside, outside and even under the car
  • Compliments every time I drive it.
Why am I selling my Mustang? Because I can't afford to keep two cars and this car is a mint collector that should NOT be used as a daily driver. It's like this beauty just came off the showroom floor. When you look at the engine compartment and the under chassis, you'll be amazed at how clean it is.
Is this my daily driver? Nope - I have a modified 2002 Mustang GT convertible that I enjoy cruising around in as my daily driver. I had originally bought the '85 Mustang to replace my convertible... but the moment I took possession of this car I realized just how special the car is and that it deserves to stay in the garage and only driven on special occasions like car shows and Sunday drives. That's when I realized that I need two cars in order to keep the '85.
You don't need to do anything to this car to start enjoying this car the day you take it home. If you're on the hunt for a clean T-Top Fox Body Mustang, don't settle for one that's going to require expensive repairs and lots of work, because you'll just have a restored Mustang. Instead, this car is original and clean.
According to MustangFords.com, Ford only produced 1,722 white Mustang GT "convertibles" in 1985. The T-Top is categorized as a convertible. I imagine Ford made more actual convertibles than T-Top cars. So, there's probably not that many of these T-Top cars left in excellent original condition.
Feel free to ask questions or request a specific photo before bidding for this car. I'll understand, because that's what I did to various sellers before I finally found and bought this one.
