Description:

1956 Ford Thunderbird Hardtop Convertible

1956 Thunderbird Project. P-code 312 engine with auto transmission.
This Thunderbird has been off the road for decades. The original owner started the restoration, removing the body and restoring the chassis and then passed away. The daughter inherited it and kept it with the intent to restore it. More than 30 years passed and she realized it wasn't going to be completed, so I purchased it. I have since picked up another project and no longer have time to complete, so I am putting it up for sale.
Not pictured, but included: deck lid and a spare auto trans.
This is a project. It will need rockers and lower quarters along with some other work on the front nose and where the spare mounts. Doors look good and hood is pretty nice. Includes the hard top in good shape. Fender vents move smoothly. Good front bumper. Rough rear bumper. Frame was restored 30 years ago and is in nice shape. Not sure what work was done to engine. Looks like it was worked on, but I have no records for it. Original carb is included and was rebuilt years ago. Original tach and clock are there. factory power steering. Trunk is good. Floor is good with I believe one small hole. I have all glass. I believe all trim is present. Have new foam for seat.Illinois title.
I have additional parts I would consider selling separately to the winner.
Again, this is a project. It will need work. It does not run, drive, brake or steer. The body has been set in place back on the frame for transportation. Buyer responsible for shipping, taxes, title and any fees.

I've had a couple questions on other parts that are included in the sale. So, the following is included and not pictured:
- Wind wing windows- Power window hardware (I believe it is all there)- The T&C radio which is in very good (untested) condition - pulled and stored 30+ years ago- Bumper brackets- Power seat hardware and seat tracks- Several extra wheels
If I run across anything else, I will add to the post. Thanks!
