Great running FE 1969 428 Cobra Jet engine. Correct rare matching numbers for Intake, Holley Carb, Heads, Block. Correct reproduction exhaust manifolds and fan. Ran this engine in my 1967 Comet Cyclone for two years but now restoring car to concourse condition with Original 390 GT. I havere-gasketed engine and installed brass freeze plugs. New Royal Purple 30 WT oil in crank case. Ran cylinder compression test 1-8 with all 195-205 PSI. Oil pressure 65 PSI Plus @2500 and above RPM. 30 PSI hot Idle @800 RPM. Original 11 inch flywheel resurfaced with clutch/pressure plate in very good condition(no slippage). More detailed pictures to serious bidders available. Engine date code 8J27= September 27,1968. Original clean distributor/black brass Autolite cap with correct Repro 428 C.J. plug wires and original chrome valve covers come with deal. Engine ready to drop in and run as shown. Also H.D. roller engine stand included. Prefer local pickup but will ship truck freight at buyer's expense.Note: This engine comes with many items usually missing like original Holley Carb, carb choke lines, PCV tubing and vacuum fittings, two sets of original first/second type valve covers plus original distributor with correct plug wires. Start adding up cost starting with a bare 428 C.J. block to completely build this great running engine as shown and amount would add up to much more like restoring a classic car. Better to write one check than several not planned on!
