1929 Ford Model A --

To this day, the Ford Model A is one of the most recognizable cars on the planet and with over 4.8 million units produced in nine different body styles in its 4 year production period. It was sporty, attractive, well-built, and smooth-running compared to the Model T, which it replaced in the 1928 model year. Thousands of people were eager to see for themselves that "Henry's made a lady out of Lizzie," and they stormed Ford showrooms when the Model... A debuted on December 2, 1927. In less than two weeks there were 400,000 orders, and Henry Ford could not keep up with the demand for his latest "gift" to an increasingly mobile nation. To this day, Model A's are extremely popular and are often the basis for some of the coolest hot rods roaming the streets! GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique Model A Pickup for your consideration. Based on a stock truck, this highly modified vehicle has a full steel body as well as running gear from what is believed to be a 50s or 60s Ford. The truck is powered by a 289cid V8 mated to a C4 automatic transmission and runs a Holley 4bbl carburettor. It also has a newer shifter, ignition, and electric cooling fan. The custom body features matte black paint as well as a number of unique stylistic cues. It features newer seats as well as an exterior mounted tachometer. It rides on alloy wheels and has manual brakes and steering. Recently over $1,000 was put into a number of driveability repairs such as lights and wiring. It is a tough, old school hot rod that fires up with a turn of the key and is a fun conversation piece. To see over 80 photos of this car, including undercarriage please visit our website br/-
