1984 Ford F-150

Very nice original condition Ford F150 4x4. Last of the carburated 351 Windsor V8s. I have had this truck about 2 years and really planned on keeping her, but I'm out of town most of the time for work and my wife won't drive it.... we'll have to get something smaller for her.I wish I had more time to devote to her, but she starts up everytime I get in her (thanks to a new Bosch starter and all the battery cables from the battery, to the solenoid and starter).Really haven't had to do much, though the carb choke could use an adjustment, but once up and running she hums down the road. I get lots of compliments on her as she sits like a good truck ought to.Lots of potential here, there are a few scrapes and bumps on the body but hey, it's 35 years old.No air bag, no ABS, no EFI- last of the real trucks. Quad shocks up front, dual fuel tanks though the aux tank was disconnected. AC was working, but stopped blowing out the dash vents last summer, must be a vacuum hose or something, again I wish I had the time as I love this truck.I put a bed liner in, and a dash cap inside. I actually had a $500 Italian Nardi mahogany steering wheel in her (took it out to sell though) that's how much I planned on keeping this truck.... Let me know if you're interested in the wheel maybe we can cut a deal....
In answer to a question from a watcher:
The truck does look good, it's a serious candidate for restoration, or simply maintain and keep on driving it as is,.
No serious rust anywhere that I've seen, just the normal amount of surface rust underneath.
The engine is stock, and I believe the air pump (emissions thing) is locked up because the belt has been removed.
The top of the dash was cracked, that's why I put a dash cover on it . The armrests on the door panels are cracked, but they can be purchased from on-line retailers, but most are black and would have to be dyed.
The carpet on the passenger side has a stain that is probably from greasy shoes? I would remove the carpet and clean it with some degreaser and a hot spray at the local car wash.
The bench seat is original, and it is worn through on the outside edge from climbing in as the truck sits just high enough where it is difficult to get yer butt over the seat without dragging it. A new replacement cover can be had for around $200.
I'm currently out of town as is my wife so I don't have any further photos to post at this time. I will try and get more photos if I can and will post them when I do.
Thanks for your interest- these trucks are getting harder to fine in this price range and condition. They are either basket case rust buckets or prices at least twice what I am asking.
There is also a slight exhaust leak at the donut gasket where the pipe meets the manifold. I had it at an exhaust place to put dual exhaust on it, but the guy was afraid the stud would twist off, then the manifold would have to come off, then you would have to worry about breaking a stud going into the head. It was beyond his expertise, so off I drove with just a new muffler and tailpipe and a new inspection sticker....
