This 1979 Ford F-150 Custom with Explorer trim package would be an absolute beauty in capable hands. Runs well, automatic, rw drive, straight, solid body, 302 V8, new brakes. History: Only 3 owners. An older gentleman acquaintance bought this truck new. He owned it until his passing in early 2014. It was sold to a mutual acquaintance who did some small repairs/maintenance and sold it to us later that year. It served as our families 2nd vehicle, getting plenty of in town driving and some interstate driving until we had a second child and outgrew it. The odometer read around 60,000 when we got it. It recently rolled over and ready 1,069.9. The title says odometer exempt.
Known flaws: The gas gauge is stuck. The AC blows, but does not cool well. There is some chipping and flaking in the almost 40 year old paint allowing some light superficial rust (pictured). There are a hand full of small, shallow dents (worst ones pictured on back end) and one deeper dent in the chrome around the driver's side headlight (pictured). There is a "star" crack in the windshield (pictured). The original interior and floor mat is faded, as expected, and there is a small cut/tear in the seat back on the driver's side of the bench. A piece of the driver's door interior has come off, but I do have the pieces (pictured off and with the pieces set in place).
