Description:

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

This is a real 69 R code 428cj car. I bought and built this for my wife to drive and did many things with her in mind to improve the daily driving experience including: FAST EZEFI, power rack and pinion, modern AC, MSD ignition, modern seat belts, Wilwood 4 wheel power disc brakes, and on and on. Everything, I mean everything, is new or refurbished to a certain degree. The motor has been gone through and is a "3 rib" .40 over 428. I do not believe it is the original motor. It has brand new Edelbrock heads, a mild hydraulic cam and an F427 aluminum intake. It also has an MSD distributor as well. The EFI is tucked under the shaker and the computer is in the car behind the heater box so everything looks as stock as possible. The trans is a "correct" c6 and the rear end is a 3.91"n case" 31 spline traction-loc. The car has had new quarters installed at some point and will need the marker lights installed. The paint is New Lime and is an 8/10 with sanding marks visible by close inspection. The bottom of the car is extremely nice. The interior is mostly new and is a 9.5/10. The exhaust is Hooker Super Comp ceramic coated headers connected to a Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust. The tires are new but the Magnum 500's have some very mild surface rust that should easily clean up. I have the rear deck wing and the stripes. In the end, we've driven the car less than 100 miles over 7 years. She just doesn't like or use it. There are a few things that are still not completed or need attention. These things are minor and include: finishing the AC lines, installing the marker lights, minor tuning, the tach needs rebuilt, the auto tilt away needs finished, adjust the headlights and only 1 horn works. This car runs and drives, has passed a NY inspection and has been out on the road with no issues. It is 95% complete. Anyone who knows what the're looking at can see the money in this car. Please don't submit ill conceived or insulting offers......you will get an unpleasant response. I encourage anyone interested to come look at the car as I don't spend much time with it and finished it 7 years ago. I have 100% forgotten some details that will certainly be in the buyers favor. I have ZERO urgency or need to sell it but would like it to go to someone who can appreciate it. I reserve the right to sell it locally and end the auction early.
