1930 Ford Model A --

I LOVE MODEL A FORD PICKUP TRUCKS: Good running flat head 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission, good glass and good chrome. VIN on title and truck is SG4211PA HISTORY: I bought the truck from a good car dealer friend from near Cincinnati, he bought it from a older man from Westfield, PA. HEADLIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS ADDED! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! HORN WORKS, BUT IS A LITTLE WEAK! HOW DOES THE TRUCK RUN? I consider it running very good, it starts good and...runs down the road good. I hear no knocks in the engine and it has decent power for what it is. It is still the 6 volt system. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a 3 speed manual, the clutch has no slip and it shifts the way a non synchronized transmission of the day did. Double clutching is the best way to shift it. HOW ABOUT RUST? I consider it solid, no rusty holes and the frame is solid, the fenders are thick fiberglass, they are nice quality. HOW IS THE PAINT? The paint looks good at 20 feet, it shines decent, I see no dents or big dings, it does have cracks and chips and touched up places. If your looking for perfect paint this is not it, if your looking for a fun driver that does look good, this could be it. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Very good interior, no real wear, it is good, but not original materials. The rubber floor mat has some cracks. HOW IS THE GLASS? Very good glass, no cracks and it is not milky. The windshield does move out at the bottom for ventilation. HOW IS THE CHROME? Good chrome, radiator grill shell is nice, door handles nice, bumper good with 3 or 4 minor pits. HOW ARE THE TIRES? Good tread left on them, they are fine for local driving, if your going to tour you need new ones because they are getting old. HOW IS THE BED? The floor is steel and solid, upholstered panels have been added on the sides. HOW DOES THE TRUCK STOP? To me it stops good, it is mechanical brakes. HOW DOES THE TRUCK DRIVE? To me it drives good, it is manual steering and remember its a 1930 model truck. WHERE IS THE TRUCK LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303. This is in East Tennessee on interstate 75 half way between Knoxville and Chattanooga.
