Up for bid is a custom and very unique resto mod type car.The car started life as a 79 Ford Ranchero and was then mated wit a 1972 Mercury Montego MX factory Ram Air front clip.
Some details of the transformation are all body emblem holes were filled to remove the ford emblems. It now has custom made dark matte green graphics which indicate it's an MX version with a 351 and Mercury names. It also has a early Mercury station wagon rear bumper to make the back also fit the era of the front clip. It has a dark green interior which is in great shape and has the factory rally dash with full gauges. The factory radio is still in place with new kenwood speakers.It has a power seat and windows. Power brakes and steering. It originally had ac but is missing the compressor and some other stuff, with the parts it could be hooked back up. (I don't have them or I would have done it).The windows have been tinted and look great. Not to dark so night cruising is not a problem but dark enough to make it comfortable in the daytime hours.It has been painted Mercedes white which has a rich and luxurious appearance.All the chrome was removed and polished also which makes it sparkle! The wheels are Rocket Racing Booster II, 20x10 rear, and 18x7 fronts, all wrapped in new tires.The exhaust is a true dual setup with flowmaster mufflers and give it a nice but tolerable sound.The engine is a 351 with an automatic trans backed by a 9" rear differential.It has had most of the brake components changed recently such as new hoses, new calipers and hardware, new rotors, new pads, new bearings and seals, rear shoes, hardware, and wheel cylinders.It also has new belts, radiator hoses, all light bulbs, new cap, rotor, wires, spark plugs, fuel and air filter.It runs drives and stops great grabbing attention everywhere it goes!
The mileage is currently 49788 but will go up as I drive it to local shows.
