Description:

1969 Ford Fairlane

You are bidding on a 1969 Ford Cobra Formal Roof (Notchback). This is an original 428-4V, Ram Air, Four Speed, Staggered Shock, R-Code car.The original color was Black Jade (Ford #3197-A) and the car came equipped with a Black Cloth/Vinyl Bench Seat interior. The scheduled build date for the car was 5/1/69 but the actual build date was 4/28/69. The VIN: 9H45R197432 is located on the driver’s side door as well as on the lower left side of the dash/windshield. I have not removed either the left or right fender, that appear to be original, to further verify the VIN.I have a Deluxe Marti Report on the car which indicates it was originally sold through Dick Cranston Ford Sales Inc. in East Greenwich Rhode Island.Built at the Lorain, Ohio plant this Cobra came equipped with a 428-4V Cobra Jet Ram Air V-8 engine, a close ratio ToploaderTransmission, 3.50 Conventional Rear Axle, Power Steering, AM Radio, Tachometer, and F70x14 Belted Raised White letter tires.

The door data tag is as follows:

Body-65A, Color-C, Trim-1A, Date-01E, DSO-11, Axle-A, Trans-6 VIN: 9H45R197432

When I located the car the motor, transmission, and rear axle were all gone.It appears the car was last registered around 1990 in Rhode Island and judging from the condition it was in, it had not been driven for quite some time. This Cobra is in poor condition as the front floors and truck are heavily rusted through. The doors, hood, and trunk lid are also in poor condition. The back glass and trim are still good, the windshield has a crack but the trim is useable and the left door glass is included.

The car retains the clutch/brake pedal assembly, seat belts, front and rear seat frames, headrests, headliner bows, front suspension, and steering column. The front and rear bumpers are good useable cores.

The original tach dash is in excellent condition exhibiting no tears, mars, rips cracks, or fading, the gauges are intact and in very nice condition. All the original dash wiring is present. Also included are the original Cobra three piece grille, the original hood scoop, quarter extensions, and taillight assemblies. I have included a number of miscellaneous parts that may be of use.

The car rolls but will have to winched onto a transporter.
