Description:

1954 Ford F-100

Rat Rod daily driver!!! Everyone loves this truck!!! So easy and fun to drive. Everything you see is a 1954 ford F100 pickup truck with a permanent shell. Everything you don't see is a 1971 Lincoln Continental. So she rides like a Cadillac only better because it's a Ford! 460 big block power with a New Edelbrock intake, four barrel carburetor, headers, exhaust, radiator, plugs, wires, distributor etc, etc. Famous bulletproof ford C6 automatic transmission. Four wheel disc brakes with lots of stopping power. Power steering. Coil spring suspension air assist shocks in the rear and too many other parts to list. All the lights and gauges work. Starts super quick and easy, runs like a race truck but is fun to just cruse around in and turn some heads. Has a nice deep rumble but not too loud. It cruses down the freeway just fine and will go faster than you want to go but she is comfortable around 65-70 mph no problem and she loves going up hills. Motor runs at correct temperature never gets hot. The shell was added back in the 70s by a guy that lived in it and served in the army. It is a very good sturdy build. It is open to the cab so it's like a van or tiny motorhome RV. He also modified the tailgate with built in stairs that fold down. It works great for hauling tools and camping. I have driven and camped out of this truck all the way from Boise Idaho all around southern Utah to Durango Colorado and up through the Rocky Mountains to Grand Junction and back over to Salt Lake Utah without skipping a beat. I currently drive it a few times a week and just got back from camping in Green River Utah. I would not be afraid to jump in it and drive just about anywhere. It is quite dependable. It gets about 12 mpg. Which is better than a Hummer. The tires are in excellent shape and are wearing evenly. The 2 front bucket seats are electric adjustable & leather from a later model vehicle. They work but are not in the best shape. The things that need work: Front bumper is missing since the pictures. Floor pans are solid. Body is solid but far from perfect. There is rust in the corners of the cab and fenders. Where added camper shell modification meets the cab of the truck, just above the windshield there is a small gap. I have it covered it with duct tape and it's working fine right now but will need some body work. I wouldn't try restoring the body completely. It's definitely a rat but it's solid enough to last many more years with very little upkeep. Right windshield wiper arm is missing. The wiper motor works and has 2 speeds. The side windows go up and down but are rough. Has two fuel tanks but only one is operational. The chrome is flaking off the genuine Crager wheels.
No jokesters, serious bidders only please. This is the real deal and a very good one. You can't find a daily driver well built rat rod for under 9k. Thank you for looking. I made a YouTube video about the truck if you are interested.
