Description:

1971 Ford Mustang

Car is complete, but needs restoration. I do not know if the engine turns.

Car has rust through in the floor pans; passenger and back seatfloor pans are rusted through. The trunk is rusted out. The gas tank has rust on it. See pictures and let me know if you need anything specific.

The driver's side door, frontfenders, and hood are not attached, but will be affixed for transport. Tires will hold air for transport.

The windshield and passenger door glassare good.

Note added 6/6/2018: I've had several questions about the VIN. This is correct. It was built in Mexico, so it does not follow the standard VIN for US plants. I'm looking for more information about the VIN, so I will update the posting once I find out more. The first 2 characters of the VIN "AF" mean it was built in Mexico City. I think the 3-4 characters (01) identify the body type. I think the 5-6 characters identify the engine. I will upload pictures of the VIN and body plate later today.

I believe the engine is a 352 with a 4 barrel carb (US models used 2 barrel, the Mexican version used 4 barrel). The car is considered complete, but needs restoration.Has been sitting a while. It has been covered with tarps and the engine compartment was covered with plywood and tarps.

The VIN number was not stamped on the plate visible through the windshield (it is actually blank) because it was built in Mexico, apparently they did not stamp the VIN.

I've included two pictures of body plates that show the VIN and made in Mexico along with some info. The car was also tagged/stamped with a VIN by the State of Idaho when we got the title.
