1978 Ford F-250

I bought this truck about two years ago from the estate of a deceased dentist. He passed and his widow let it sit where he left it in the direct sunlight for the next sixteen years unmoved. Upon purchase I had all of the seals in the axles, transmission and transfer replaced. I drained all of the fluids and replaced. I had all of the wheel cylinder, calipers, rubber brake hoses, shoes and pads replaced. I had the hubs cleaned and repacked. I put all new hoses, belts and tune-up and replaced the rear tank; the main tank I still possess but it is out of the truck. I put a new battery and tires on it and it runs out real tight down the road. It still floods every now and then even after the carb rebuild. It has rust over the wheel well and as the rubber seals in the cab were rotted, the floor board on the passenger side is rusted and needs to be patched. It has a 351 Modified engine, a four speed manual transmission and original lock-out hubs. The bed was covered by a camper shell and so it is solid. I also had new shocks all the way around and bushings and joints where it need them along with a full lube. I intended to do a twelve valve Cummins conversion on this but find that I will never have the time. The original odometer which I still have shows 44,000 miles. The plastic housing around the gauges was rotted from the sun and disintegrated so I replaced it with a cluster from ebay from a used truck. It has good oil pressure shown in the pics. I have a fair, used dash pad and new door panels for it but have not replaced them yet.Despite the appearance, she is tight and would make a great project especially since these extended cab; long beds do not come up that often. I hold a clear Arkansas title and would like to give it a home where it will be appreciated and restored or modified. Truck is for sale locally and so it may be pulled upon sale here. Email with any questions. Thanks for looking. God be with you!
