1950 Ford Other Pickups

This 1950 F1 spent nearly it's entire life in the dry climate of Montana, until arriving in Nebraska in early 2017. The body is nearly rust-free, with only a small bubble on the left front fender. The frame and underside of the truck is in very solid condition, with only surface rust showing. The frame and all brackets are in top condition.
The truck was repainted 30 - 40 years ago, in a Mercury gold color of the era. As such, there are scratches, chips and other imperfections showing. There are a few small dings in the sheet metal, primarily in the passenger side door, and in the box. The top of the hood shows some minor waving. The running boards, which are black, also show wear from use. The stainless trim needs to be polished.
The previous owner, in three years of ownership, updated a number of items on the truck. He updated the brake system (new master cylinder, brake cylinders, brake lines, front shoes and springs.) On the front end, he replaced the tie rods and tie rod ends, wheel bearings and shocks. The entire wiring harness was replaced. On the engine, the plugs, rotor, condenser & plug wires have been replaced. Headers were installed, along with a new custom exhaust, steel pack mufflers and dual stainless steel tips.
The wheels have been replaced with powder coated rims; 6" in front & 7" in the rear. The tires are steel belted radials, 225/70R15 in the front & 255/70R15 on the rear, with less than 500 miles on them. Shiny new hub caps and trim rings are included.
The 3 speed transmission was rebuilt by the previous owner. He used the guts from a 1951 Ford automobile transmission, so first gear is taller than a normal truck first gear. The clutch, throw out bearing and pressure plate are new. The flywheel was resurfaced. The battery is about a year old.
The interior features an original brown colored vinyl seat in great condition. The steering wheel has been replaced by a repro 1949 automobile steering wheel. The gear shift lever was chromed, and is topped by a cream colored shift handle (matches other trim colors). The instrument panel/gauges are very nice (supposedly they are NOS). As the speedometer was replaced, it does not reflect the correct mileage on the truck. Additionally, the needle on the speedo is loose, and does not always engage to show your speed. The door seals were recently replaced.
The truck starts easily, and runs smoothly. The engine was also rebuilt 30 - 40 years ago by the original owner. Supposedly it was not driven a great deal after being restored. The engine is the original 239 CID flathead V8. It is still a 6 volt system.
There are a few items that may need attention. The window felts should be replaced. The driver side vent window is cracked; and the seals on both vent windows are stiff. The truck bed is plywood. The heater is not connected or operational.
This pickup starts runs and drives very nicely. Additional photos are available. Full payment is due within 3 days of auction close.
