1978 Ford F-150 XLT

Being down south as we are, it seems that there are a few extraordinary trucks still running around that haven't been worked to death or parted out for their rusty cousins up north. Take this 1978 Ford F-150 XLT Ranger 4x4 for instance. This 2 owner 87k mile truck is one of the nicest I've seen. It's hard to go wrong with a big pickup, but with so many trucks getting various shades of brown or orange in the 1970s, this one really stands out. Clean,White, and straight. The body is impressive and trucks like this make ideal candidates for drivers. No traces of a working-class life can be seen from the sheet metal and the paint has great shine and few signs of use. It appears to have had one respray in its life. There's a shine that you rarely see on pickups of any kind, and the instance is certainly nice. The chrome and trim is original, polished up and given a shine that looks right. The bed is great shape no signs of heavy use in its life. Protected by a spray-in bedliner material so you don't have to think twice about using this truck. The interior is all original and perfect, right down to the pleated seat. The seating surfaces are cloth, so it's comfortable. The seat is original and has had a cover over it most its life and shows very little wear. New black carpets, nicely original door panels, and a big three-spoke steering wheel, it is very clean. This F-150 gauges all work. Its a column shift 3-speed automatic transmission and a manual lever for the 2-speed transfer case down on the floor. There is an aftermarket radio, and wired in Nav. There aren't many choices that balance performance and efficiency better than a 351M V8. This one is all original and was a factory AC truck. It is missing the compressor. It has been fitted with 35x12.50-15 MT radials. Runs and drives straight. Rare to find an un-molested old truck. Call with any questions.
